Terms of use

These terms govern your use of CoinBeaver. By using the site you accept them.

Nothing here is financial advice

CoinBeaver is educational and informational. Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset.

We do not know your circumstances, and none of our content is tailored to them. CoinBeaver is not a licensed broker, dealer, investment adviser, exchange, or custodian. Decide for yourself, and take professional advice where you need it.

Crypto assets carry real risk

Crypto assets are volatile and largely unregulated. You can lose some or all of the money you put in, and past performance tells you nothing reliable about future results.

Leverage, derivatives, and DeFi products described in our explainers add further risk, including liquidation and total loss. Some of what we explain is not suitable for beginners; where that is the case the article says so.

About the market data

Market data is provided as is. It comes from third-party exchange APIs, may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and is not a quotation or an offer to trade at the price shown.

We label the limits we know about, and you should read those labels as part of the number:

  • Provisional values come from a candle that has not closed and will still change.
  • Coverage notes mean a coin is tracked across fewer markets than usual, so the price rests on a narrower base.
  • Fetch timestamps tell you how recent a reading is; do not assume a figure is live because it is on screen.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to exchanges and other services are affiliate links. If you open an account or transact through one, CoinBeaver may receive a commission. You pay nothing extra.

This does not change what we publish. Affiliate relationships do not determine which services are listed, how they are ranked, or what we say about them, and a page carrying affiliate links discloses it.

Any dealing you have with a third-party service is between you and them, on their terms. We are not responsible for their conduct, their security, or your funds.

Using the site

You may read, quote, and share CoinBeaver content with attribution. You may not:

  • Scrape or bulk-copy the site, or redistribute our market data as though it were your own feed.
  • Interfere with the site's operation, or attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that are not yours.
  • Use the site unlawfully, or in a way that misrepresents it as licensed financial advice.
  • Remove or obscure source attributions, timestamps, or caveat labels when reproducing our content.

Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for what happens under it and for keeping access to the Google account you sign in with secure.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used to abuse the service. You can ask us to close your account at any time — see the privacy policy for what happens to your data.

Content and intellectual property

The text, design, and original graphics on CoinBeaver belong to us. Market data belongs to the venues and providers it comes from, and their terms apply to it.

Third-party names and logos are the property of their owners and are used to identify those services, not to imply endorsement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, CoinBeaver is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything published on it — including trading losses, lost profits, and losses caused by data that turned out to be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable.

The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Links to other sites

CoinBeaver links to exchanges, documentation, and other third-party sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or what they do with your data once you arrive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of the page tells you when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
